The dual approach is one that people are often split right down the middle on, but for what it’s worth I love it. The strain on each fan is less than if you had one single rotor which improves durability. Sounds pretty convincing to me!

Is the glass pumping tube just for show?

Glass tubing certainly looks cool, but it does have some practical implications too. Glass is easier to cool than plastic so it will help provide some additional cooling under the casing. Secondly, it allows you to see the liquid circulating. If you ever see a sudden spike in your CPU temperature, but everything looks like it’s running, then you may well have a blocked pipe. The first thing to say is that no compromises have been made with the PWM fans. They’re noise-less because of the quality of the bearing and the aerodynamics of the blades. Not because they don’t push enough air to make much noise. This means they offer plenty of cooling power without the dreary whirring that can be the bane of ever tech lovers new PC.

49 mm deep radiator provides an ice cool helping hand

The depth of the radiator is something that many manufacturers overlook. With more depth comes more surface area, which in turn means more cooling. By opting for a very impressive 49mm, ARCTIC have created something that to me looks very special. I liked the way that it integrated and was easy to mount. And I especially liked the overall build quality.

Push-Pull fan arrangement: what did I make of it?

With one fan pushing air through the radiator, and another pulling it from the other side, there’s a lot of innovation here. What absolutely stood out to me was how well synchronized these two fans were. If they get out of synch and run at different frequencies, then you can get beating. That creates an annoying extra hum that you could really do without. With them both working in harmony I detected no such beating, just plain sailing all the way!

2W pump: can it still push hard enough?

A 2 W pump may not sound like it packs much of a punch but look at the numbers more closely. The power of the pump isn’t a direct measure of its overall pushing strength. I love the Thermaltake way of doing things because they always strive to be different. They don’t do it for the sake of it, but because they’ve spotted something that everyone else has somehow missed. With three fans all inline they’re certainly not afraid to stand out from the crowd…

Triple fans equals three times the cooling?

The first thing to say is that each of these fans is less powerful than some of the single fan options on this list. That’s not a criticism or a drawback; it’s just a fact. The point I’m making is that you don’t need three powerful fans. But you may get something different if you disperse your airflow over a wider area. This is what Thermaltake has done to significant effect. There’s far less localized heating which compromises some components a lot more than others. Job done in that respect!

360 mm Aluminum radiator: pure performance?

The radiator is wider at 360 mm which works well with the dispersive nature of the triple fan layout. I like the overall precision and building quality of the unit, and the Aluminum is clearly the material of choice. It’s lightweight and easy to install but doesn’t sacrifice on quality which is the most critical thing in my opinion.

The copper baseplate is a nice touch

The baseplate is an area that many coolers overlook. It’s the part that comes into contact with so much else inside so it makes sense to make it out of something highly thermally conductive. That’s what really stood out to me because it means you have full access to every card slot. That is ideal if you like to modify every couple of weeks when you see a new way to expand your setup.

Adaptability and versatility is the name of the game when it comes to custom builds. By being able to work with more than two dozen liquid coolers, the G12 allows you to get very creative. The installation and setup is standardized which makes things much easier too. If you love to change things and fiddle with your setup, then I’d suggest the G12 for how accommodating it is.

That’s not the case here, and you should be able to fit it in about 30 seconds. All the pieces you need come with it, and there are no hidden extras like one-off tools to buy.

450 L/h flow rate: do you really need that much?

Yes! 450 L/h may sound like a lot but remember that it’s a closed system so you’ll be recycling the water to keep it cool. If you spring a leak, you’re not going to end up with hundreds of liters so don’t feel overwhelmed! The flow rate is impressive, as is the pump that drives it. That makes it a solid choice for gaming or numerical computation when you really want to push things hard.

The rubber pads that are used to mount the fan are pretty smart in my opinion. They do a great job at damping down the noise, and they are simple too. This is always a good sign because it shows the designers know what they’re doing. Why over complicate things when you don’t have to? I’ve been waiting to get my hands on an H110 for a while so when the opportunity knocked I couldn’t resist. One thing that really stands out is the slow speed fans: an interesting development. Let’s look at the big picture and see how they fit in…

140 mm radiator could provide enhanced cooling

At 140 mm the radiator is far from the biggest on this list. The use of copper in the base plate makes it an ideal candidate if you want something that gets rid of heat with no fuss. You can also see the craftsmanship and build quality when you look at the quality of the machining.

Bigger blades mean a slower spin is needed

This is the really interesting bit! Rather than 120 mm blades, they’ve jumped up to 140 mm. This enhanced surface area means less speed is required to move the same amount of air. And it also holds its shape over a more extended period of time if subjected to unintended localized heating.

Breathing LED light adds style but does it add substance?

The LED light is a nice touch, especially if you have a perspex window on your case. It adds some style, but it also allows you to see if everything is powered as it should be easily. In my opinion, it’s a great piece of design that looks the part if you want to create a gaming machine.

The glass tubes stay cool in even the hottest environments and will enable you to see the flow. This style works well with the unique look of the breathing LED. The heat load is adequately carried away which ensures you get the performance that you expect. It also adds durability because the tube is structurally sound and designed to withstand the demands of high flow rates.

The gaming capability of your CPU is dictated by the speed which is in turn limited by the heat dissipation. The ceramic bearing pump could make all the difference

The ceramic bearing in the pump has two main advantages. Firstly, ceramic bearings run quieter than their metal brothers and sisters. That means you’ll have less of that annoying background noise that just drones on and on. Secondly, they’re hardwearing, so you won’t have to replace them anytime soon. This also means you won’t have to see your performance slowly degrade and risk damage to other internal components.

2000 rpm fan that never compromises on top end speed

2000 rpm is as efficient a speed as you’ll find on this list. One thing that would be nice is if it were possible to vary the speed. A lot of the time you just won’t need that many revs so it would be nice to save the power consumption. It’s a minor thing but to be fair, there are a number of coolers on this rundown that have that functionality.

25mm thick radiator: is it thick enough?

25mm is plenty thick enough for a radiator, especially one machined to such high standards. If you love a great piece of build quality, then you won’t be disappointed. Make sure to do a benchmark test of your core temperature and CPU performance before fitting. I think you’ll blow the old numbers out of the water!

This is the disappointing thing for me: no bracket. I’m not sure why that is, but I am sure it will catch plenty of people out. It’s certainly not the end of the world, but it does add a little bit of hassle to upgrading. Then you have to make sure you buy the right bracket, and if not you’ll just get annoyed. Personally, I’d rather pay more to get everything I need in the box. That way I know what I’m dealing with from the moment I click ‘order’….

The Captain 240X, like all previous Deepcool Captain coolers, has a unique U-shaped pipe emerging from the center of the pump head. The Captain X model, unlike earlier models, has been updated from the glass pipe design to a polished stainless steel design to make it more durable and have that industrial appearance.

Another “improvement” is the use of two uniquely tuned TF120 S fans, which are meant to match the radiator characteristics. Deepcool’s unique two-layer fan blades and flow-amplifying, noise-less frames are utilized on the TF120 S fans, as seen on the Deepcool Castle 240EX and comparable to those used on the Assassin III tower cooler.

Anti-leak technology sounds innovative, but what does it mean?

Deepcool is particularly contented by its anti-leak technology. An EPDM pressure release bag is put on the radiator. When the radiator’s internal pressure rises above the atmospheric pressure, this bag contracts, creating a void that adds the radiator’s interior volume. As a result, pressure is relieved and the chance of a leak is reduced. 

Exciting lighting effects

Deepcool has chosen to employ RGB lighting exclusively on the Pump, which means that customers that need synchronized lighting effects are accommodated for, while those who prefer a more modest approach may deactivate the RGB entirely to be left with a subtle, all-black look.

17. ARCTIC Freezer 34 Liquid CPU Cooler

The last time we actually saw an ARCTIC CPU cooler was when the Freezer 33 eSports Edition came out. 23. Thermaltake Floe Triple Riing RGB 360 TT Liquid CPU Cooler


With all the AIO liquid coolers there are in the market these days, there are a lot of options to pick from. but there are a few major differences between them. Thermaltake understands the importance of efficiency and aesthetics in AIO coolers, which is why the Floe Riing 360 has three of Thermaltake’s proprietary Riing Plus RGB fans.

What’s in the box?

Thermaltake provided their RGB controller hub which  is powered by a Molex-to-4-pin plain cable and interacts with the motherboard through a USB 2.0 header to 2 micro-USB cables on the motherboard. The controller hub also includes a 9-pin custom connector for the Riing Plus RGB fans. An additional DIP switch may be found behind the RGB controller hub. 

Installation process is pretty simple

The setup is straightforward. Thermaltake provides two pieces of adhesive tape for the backplate’s sides for the Intel platform for whatever reason. The backplate would not slide or slip off the motherboard while messing with the other side with the assistance of these adhesive tapes. AMD users, on the other hand, will have to re-use the original backplate that came with their AMD motherboard.
