Yes. Yes, they are. With more DJs using vinyl and retro devices again, the need for a good portable boomers is rising. The boomboxes of the 80s and 90s were an integral part of any good party, but they’ve faded in popularity as entertainment has migrated to portable devices. The loudest commercially produced boombox is JBL BOOMBOX which produces up to 101 dBs of sound. You can find it at nr. 10 on our list. Best Portable CD Boomboxes

We’ve done the hard work for you and looked at all the boomboxes on the market today to find out which ones suck and which ones really boogie; we’ve finally come up with this definitive list of 19 top-quality boomboxes. So here we go…

1. Jensen CD-490 Sport Stereo CD Player with AMFM Radio

Sports radios are cool, so I was interested in taking a look at one not long into my testing. Here’s how it got on…

The ruggedized design is perfect for taking with you on the road or to the beach

The ruggedized design is ideal if you want to take this thing with you without the worries and headaches that come with taking tech outdoors. It’s pretty bulletproof from what I’ve seen which is incredible because my tech tends to have a pretty hard life with me in charge of it. I dropped it in my garage a couple of times getting out of the car, and it still worked. Perfect!

Comes with a built-in radio which is something I’m a big fan of

The radio is easy to tune, and it can save your settings which is great for a real radio listener like me. If you want to be able to switch between your music and the news, then this could be a great little option for you. I found it so straightforward to tweak when I went from one place to another that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to you folks.

I’m a big fan of the range of colors these things come in!

The range of colors that this thing comes in is quite impressive. They give you plenty of freedom to get creative when it comes to expressing yourself. Whether you want something in your team colors, or you just want something to match your interior, then they should have you covered. With a whole host of options, you shouldn’t be short of choices when it comes to finding your own perfect style match.

There’s a headphone jack onboard, but how useful will you find it?

Personally, I made a lot of use of the jack when I was working in my home office. It doubles as a gym which is really cool, but I spend the bulk of my time working in there. When I was at the desk for 8 hours at a time, it was nice to have the option to pop on headphones, so I didn’t disturb the rest of the house.

2. Sylvania SRCD243 Portable CD Player with AMFM Radio, Boombox

These guys are pretty new to me, but I was keen to give them a try. I hadn’t heard much, so I made sure to be extra meticulous with how I tested it. The results might just surprise you…

Comes in a whole rainbow of colors so you can find a style to match your mood

I love the fact that it comes in so many different colors; it’s just an interesting thing to see when it comes to choice. No one really likes a grey box sat in the corner, so to be able to inject your own personality into proceedings is fantastic. Highly recommended if you want tech that can also turn on the style.

Onboard batteries are perfect for taking it with you wherever you want to go

The batteries on this thing were clearly designed to last and have very low charging hysteresis. For the non-nerds out there this means that you can recharge them over and over again with no noticeable tail off in performance. That’s ideal if you want the freedom to take your music with you wherever you go.

Integrated AM/FM tuner is perfect for listening to live radio

The integrated tuner is a nifty piece of kit if you want to tune into your favorite radio station with the click of a button. Personally, I made a lot more use of this than I thought I would. It was quite easy to setup which is the main reason I, in the end, took to it. There’s just something relaxing about being able to listen to some live sport when you’re working out you know?

Comes with an AC wall adaptor so that you don’t have to buy any annoying add-ons

I love that this thing comes with the AC adaptor because I bought something not long ago that didn’t. You may not be as excited as me about this, but if you’ve ever been caught short by stupid stuff like this, it will be a relief. I really like that it’s so easy to deal with these guys because it tells me their customer service will be good if I ever need them. Well done guys!

3. Toshiba TY-CRS9 Portable CD Boombox with AMFM Stereo and Aux Input

Toshiba are like tech royalty, so it was awesome to be able to test some of their work. Here are my thoughts on how it got on; you judge for yourselves whether it’s done their famous name justice.

Radio adds a whole new dimension to this piece of kit

The radio is a really nice addition because it means that you can breathe new life into your listening habits. With a click of the button, you can switch from your own music collection to the news, sport, or just a random tune. Perfect in my book!

The compact and stylish design is perfect for ensuring your tech looks the part

The design is so compact which is great from a practical point of view, but it doesn’t sacrifice functionality to get that way. I love this dual approach because it’s cool when you find tech that looks the part as well as acts it. That is perfect for those of you who want your tech to make a statement and chime with the rest of your interior.

Fast charging time is ideal for being able to take it on the road at a moment’s notice

The charging time on this thing has to be seen to be believed. In just a couple of hours, it’s fully charged, which given the size of the battery is no mean feat. If you want to be able to have something you can pick up and rely on when you’re in a rush, then this could be it guys! Just make sure you take the charger with you if you didn’t have enough notice to get it to 100%.

Durable casing makes this a great option for tradesmen

The housing on this thing was obviously built to last, and it looks good too. I dropped mine (by accident) a couple of times, and it worked fine afterward. Not only that, but it looked as good as new which is awesome. Kudos to the design team for their choice of materials.

4. Toshiba Wireless Bluetooth Boombox Speaker Portable CD Boom Box

Toshiba is back with a bang here my friends. Or are they? Now if that doesn’t entice you to take a read, then I don’t know what will!

The instant phone connection is what’s advertised, but how did it really perform?

The phone connection was instant once I’d set it up the first time to be fair, and even that only took a minute or so. I really liked the robustness of the Bluetooth connection because it made it a setup, and forget piece of tech that I made a lot of use of. If you want your stuff to just work the moment you take it out of the box, then a closer look is recommended by yours truly.

LED lights and stylish design make this thing great for house and pool parties

The lights on this thing are cool, to say the least. If you find that kind of thing a bit too in your face, then another entry on this list may be more your thing. If on the other hand, you want to be able to take it to parties and turn heads then this could be the one for you. They are eye catchers that I certainly became fond of very quickly. The best thing about them is they have, very little impact on the battery life.

Comes with a remote control to give you that home entertainment experience

I love the remote control because it allowed me to turn it into a home stereo system rather just a portable speaker. That is totally cool if you’re looking to have music at the center of your entertainment system in the kitchen or front room. I certainly made a lot of use of the fact that I could change between my tracks and the sports radio stations without getting off the couch. If that sounds like what you need in your life, then I don’t blame you guys!

5. Sony ZSRS60BT CD Boombox with Bluetooth and NFC

Sony is at it again folks which is super exciting for a nerd like me. Here’s what I thought of their second offering to make it onto my list…

Bluetooth connection was quick, but how stable was it when I tested it out?

The Bluetooth connection was super quick; instant in fact. That is always a beautiful thing to see because it tells you that the software protocols have been written with usability in mind. I was also extremely pleased with how robust the connection was. It didn’t drop once during testing which considering I used it for three weeks is quite impressive.

Takes CDs if you still have a few of them knocking around folks!

I love the fact that this thing plays CDs. The younger ones of you reading this won’t have any, but if you’re of my age or older, then you’ll have piles of them. They’re great, and there’s still a time and a place for them as Sony have demonstrated here.

The USB port is ideal for connecting your MP3 players to the speakers

I like the onboard USB port because it made it easy for me to connect to my MP3 player. It’s a great little addition in my opinion because it ensures you never have to fiddle with wireless connections if you don’t want to. It also means your friends can easily swap in their USB players in just a couple of seconds. That could be a great way to host a bring an album party in the summer if that’s the sort of thing that you’re in to.

You can listen to the radio for over 24 hours off a single charge

I love how long the battery life is on this thing. For radio it’s a best in class 26 hours which is impressive, to say the least. I used it flat out and easily went over the 24-hour barrier without having to re-charge. That is hopefully enough to tell you that this is more than just a marketing ploy, it’s a readily achievable specification.

6. Ematic CD Boom Box with Bluetooth Audio and Speakerphone

I’ve heard a lot about this piece of tech so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. That said, I want you to make your mind up so here’s my critical feedback on how it got on when I put it to the ultimate test!

Bluetooth promises to be nice and easy

Bluetooth promises a lot, and in this device, it certainly delivers too. This is ideal for those of you that want your tech to work straight out of the box without you having to spend hours fiddling with it. It took me a couple of minutes to follow the initial setup and then everything after then was automatic.

Came with, excellent technical support that I valued

The tech support from these guys was impressive, to say the least. They surprisingly knew what they were talking about and I could tell that they weren’t just reading off a call script. That gave me a lot of confidence in them, and I learned a lot from them about some of the more advanced options. To be fair, I never encountered any issues with mine; I just made a few up to test their tech support.

Bluetooth range of more than 30 feet is ideal for keeping you connected

The Bluetooth range is awe-inspiring and also pretty handy. At over 30 feet it means that you don’t have to keep your phone right by it all night if you want to stream your iTunes or Spotify accounts. That is ideal for those of you who want to be able to walk in the door and blast some uplifting tunes right away.

Carry handle is robust and fits nicely in the palm of your hand

The carry handle is useful, and it’s not usually something that I’d talk about. This one though does come in handy. I ended up taking this thing with me to the beach a couple of times and having an ergonomic handle made all the difference. It felt comfortable in the palm of my hand, and I never felt like it was going to slip out.

7. Craig Electronics CD Boombox with AMFM Stereo Radio

Another new name presented another opportunity to try out a fun piece of new tech. Here’s what I thought, hopefully, it makes for interesting reading folks!

The CD player is perfect and never skips, but how does it cope with scratched discs?

I loved how robust the CD player was, and it took me back to the days of jog proof CD WalkMans. This is great news if you want to move it about without skipping a beat. As with any player, the sound quality will suffer a little if your CDs are scratched, there’s just no getting away from that. That said I think it was just as robust as any CD player given the circumstances and well worth having a second look at.

A cool design that you’ll want to take with you when you go tailgating

I love the design, just love it! If you want something that looks cool under your arm, then this could very well be it, folks! There are so many different designs out there that it can be hard to know where to turn. That said, I think you’re going to turn a few heads with one of these under your arm. If you’re a lover of fresh designs that make an impact, then I strongly recommend this for your shortlist.

The simple LED screen that’s super easy to read

I love that the display keeps things simple. In a world where everything is touchscreen and comprised of a hundred different menus, it was nice to see something old school. It’s simple and effective, and really intuitive to navigate. If you want a piece of tech that you know how to use before you even unbox it then look no further. The display was crisp, and I could quickly read it even in the glare of direct sunlight. Ideal if you want to head to a beach or chill out at a pool party this summer.

8. NAXA Electronics MP3CD Bass Reflex Boombox

I hadn’t heard all that much about these guys, so I was intrigued to put their latest offering to the test. Here’s how it got on…

Works with USB sticks so you can take your whole music library with you

I loved that it came with an onboard USB port because it made connecting my MP3 player super easy. I’m not always a big believer in fancy wireless connections so it was nice to be able to simply slot in my player. Perfect if you want to host a bring an album party where your friends can rock up with their entire collections.

Light up speakers are ideal if you want to turn heads at a pool party

The light up speakers certainly turned heads when I showed them off at my friend’s party. But one criticism people often have of them is that they reduce your playing time by draining the battery. Not these though folks because they’re highly efficient. The manufacturer has got the balance right here, and I saw no appreciable drop off in the battery life with or without them on. This is perfect if you want to be able to use all the functions but without having to set your stopwatch and limit your usage.

The shoulder strap is a nice touch, but how comfortable is it after a few minutes?

The shoulder strap is fine for about 15 minutes at a time. Any longer than that and you may think about swapping shoulders. But to be honest, when are you likely to need to carry it for any longer than that? I made my way to the beach with mine, and it was no problem to stroll all the way down to the shoreline with it. I think you’re going to find it comfortable and robust if you decide to go with it.

Integrates with your phone via Bluetooth, but how often does the link dropout?

The Bluetooth link was very easy to setup and then connect to after that. I was impressed with how robust the link was too. The range of up to 30 feet was readily achieved in my house which was impressive. It even stayed connected when I took my phone upstairs which was no mean feat. There was no severe line of sight restrictions which is what can often plague Bluetooth. All in all, I think you’ll find this to be a hassle-free way to connect your tech folks!

9. Jensen FM Stereo CD555 Bluetooth Boombox

The final entry on my list has finally arrived guys! Take a look for yourself and then get busy com-piling a shortlist of your favorites for a closer look.

Innovative cube design, but does it sacrifice the sound quality

The cube design looks really cool, and I’m pleased to say they haven’t sacrificed anything to achieve it. The cooling of the electronics is first class which means it doesn’t run hot and rapidly drain the battery after a while. Then, there is the sound quality; if close your eyes, you can’t tell it emanates from something so small. The full dynamic range is there for you to enjoy which I thought was very impressive.

Simple layout and screen is perfect if you want to be able to use it without the hassle

The screen is very intuitive and easy to get to grips with. If you’re going to invest in tech that you feel familiar with the moment you take it out of the box, then this is a great option to consider. I liked how it takes a back to basics approach as it meant I could enjoy my music straight away.

The compact carry handle is ideal for taking it with you, but how comfortable was it?

I loved the carry handle as it finishes off the design really nicely. It’s got a comfort fit and is molded to provide an ergonomic feel in your hand. A great little feature that certainly won’t let you down from what I’ve seen of it.

An impressive sound from such a compact device, but do I recommend it?

I have to say that this one comes highly recommended from me folks. Not only is the design something different that will look great in your front room, but it’s also highly functional. The dynamic response of the bass is very impressive, and you certainly are left with plenty in reserve. This is ideal if you love dance music or power ballads where you don’t want your speakers to saturate.

Hopefully, this list has given you plenty of food for thought. Now comes the fun bit: making your final decision!

Best Boomboxes Bluetooth Speakers

10. JBL Boombox Portable Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker

Everyone loves a Bluetooth speaker, don’t they? Let’s see if I fell in love with this little offering from the folks at JBL…

Connects to your phone instantly to make your tunes amazing in my opinion

I love the instant connection aspect once you’ve had it setup initially. This is perfect if you want to be able to connect your phone and play a little bit of Spotify through your new speaker. The great thing is that you can connect it to multiple devices in this way which makes it awesome for house parties. I got my friends to bring half a dozen tracks each, and we had a night that will live long in the memory. I’d put it on my shortlist for this alone!

Can charge external devices which, is ideal for keeping your phone running

I love that you can use it to charge your phone. This makes it a great portable speaker, and an emergency power pack all in one. Perfect for making sure you can always access your iTunes library when you’re out and about. I’m a big fan as you can probably tell!

Waterproof design is perfect for a wild tailgating party

I love that this thing is waterproof because it makes it ideal for parties. The beach is one thing, but you just can’t legislate for one of your friends spilling a beer late at night. As it’s waterproof all you’ll have to do is dry it out in the morning and give it a quick wipe, and it’ll be as good as new. Now that’s what I call tech that can look after itself guys!

Stylish hand-sized design, but what’s the final sound quality like?

The quality of the audio was first class in my opinion. It was so easy to get setup that I’d describe it as plug and play. Something I never thought I’d be writing about a wireless speaker! Certainly worth a look if you want some robust and easy to use tech.

11. Phillips Bluetooth Boombox Speaker

Philips has a reputation for great electronics, so I was excited to give the Dutch masters a runout. Here’s what I thought of their latest offering folks.

Light up speaker that is ideal for taking with you when you go tailgating

The light up speaker is really cool, and it’s great for turning heads if you want a real party piece. I also loved that it put very little strain on the battery. That makes it ideal as a remote speaker you can use when you’re tailgating or on the beach. Anywhere that’s more than a cable’s length away from a mains outlet!

Bluetooth connectivity is ideal if you want to let your phone join the party

The Bluetooth connectivity of the device was handy, and first class in my opinion. I had no issues with the initial setup which put a smile on my face. After that had been taken care of, I’m pleased to say that it didn’t drop out once. This too is ideal for those of you that want your tech to work with no fiddling or tweaking on your part.

What did I make of the dynamic bass?

The dynamic bass has to be heard to be believed, my words alone simply won’t do it justice folks! If you love electronic dance music, then this will be a particularly good choice for you. By being able to hear the full depth of the sound, you’ll be able to enjoy your music like you’re in a club no matter where you happen to be.

Attractive design that is easy on the eye, but how robust was it during testing?

I do love the look and feel of the casing I have to say. It’s just pretty cool indeed. That said, I’m always suspicious of the durability of these types of designs just in case they turn out to be all style and no substance. I did a couple of impromptu drop tests, and the results were very encouraging. It still powered on and worked as good as new. What’s more, the casing was left without a mark which is excellent for those of you who give your tech a bit of a hard time.

12. G-Project G-BOOM Wireless Bluetooth Boombox Speaker

With a catchy name like that, how could I not welcome it onto my list with open arms?

Innovative design, but just how functional and practical was it?

The design is certainly a header turner, but I’m also a big fan of how easy it was to use. It’s light-weight and easy to move which is a big plus for those portable music lovers out there. I also was impressed by how easy the controls were to get to grips with. The buttons, in particular, were well laid out and easy to navigate.

The rechargeable battery is ideal for taking it with you at short notice

The rechargeable battery is a nice touch and one that looks like it is built to last. With so many options on the market that cut corners when it comes to charging, it was nice to handle something of quality. The charging time is just a couple of hours which means you don’t need an overnight charge scheduled if you want to get on the road.

Bluetooth is advertised as being instant, but how did it perform during testing?

Bluetooth was not only instant but also really robust. The initial setup took less than a minute and from then on it was just a quick swipe and a tap on my phone to get connected. I loved how easy it was, and it made me use it a lot more than I thought I would if I’m honest! The other great thing about it is how well it connected from other rooms. With a range of more than 30 ft, it allowed me to go upstairs and take a call without having my music disconnect.

Enhanced bass is ideal if you want to get the party started

The bass is impressive; I’m not just saying that. It really did blast out of the speakers and got the party started when I had a BBQ. That was great for me because I was worried it wouldn’t match the performance of a full home stereo system. If you love to enjoy the full depth of the sound, then I would strongly recommend you use this to play your whole music library!

Best Boomboxes CD and Radio Casette Player

13. Sony Stereo CDCassette Boombox

With a brand like Sony in the mix, how could I not start off my list with them? They’ve been around forever, but has this latest offering done their prestigious name justice?

An old-school look that I think you’ll love

I love the old school look; I’m not going to lie. That’s about all there is to say on that one, my friends! If you like it too then, I suggest you read on to hear more about the specs!

AM/FM tuner comes as standard which is an excellent way to vary things up

I do like that it comes with a built-in radio tuner. That is a great option in case you get bored of your own albums. Listening to some chat or the latest songs is a great way to breathe new life into your music. It’s a thumbs up from me for this feature folks!

6 ft cable means you can use it just about anywhere you like folks!

The 6 ft cable is convenient as it means you won’t need an extension cable. With a whole host of different options for where you use it, all you’ll have to do is decide where you want to start. I found this really refreshing as it made setting up in a new place hassle-free. If that sounds like something you could do with, then, it could be the one for you folks.

19-hour battery life is a great way to take it on the road or head to the beach

The final point I want to make is just how good the battery life on this thing was when I used it. It lasts for up to 19 hours off a single charge; which is more than enough to last you all day. Ideal for taking it with you if you’re working offsite for work, or if you want it on the side at home for an hour at a time.

14. Panasonic RX-D55GC-K Boombox

Panasonic are one of the biggest names on the market, so I was excited to see what they bring to the table. Take a look if you want to know how they got on.

Handy remote control is ideal for sitting back and relaxing

The remote is a nice touch because it turns everything into a home entertainment system. You don’t necessarily want the speakers right next to you on the couch. But you also don’t want to be getting up every 10 minutes to change stations or skip to the next track. Perfect if all you want to do is sit back and put your feet up to your favorite tunes guys!

Cassette recorder and CD player allow you to listen to your whole music library

I love that it plays tapes and CDs. People of my age still have loads of these, so it’s nice to be able to still get some use out of them. Not everything has to be about MP3s and streaming. Sometimes it’s nice to leave WiFi alone and keep things simple.

Portable design is ideal if you want to take it with you to a house party

The design is lightweight and easy to move which is ideal for grabbing it whenever you need. I took it to my friend’s house for a few parties, and it was super easy. It sits comfortably under your arm when you’re walking up the drive from your car. Ideal if you want to turn up looking cool, rather than nervous you’re about to drop your expensive stereo system! I’d suggest a second look if you want a portable player that’s easy to setup and produces impressive quality bass folks.

Digital input on the front allows you to play directly from your MP3 player

I do like that it includes a digital input as well as tapes and CDs. The old school methods are probably closer to my heart, but there’s no doubting the versatility of digital storage. This level of flexibility is what makes this a device I’m happy to recommend to you today. It caters for just about every taste, but it does it without a proliferation of buttons and options. That results in an easy to use and setup piece of kit that you’ll get to grips with in no time at all if my experience is anything to go by!

15. SuperSonic Retro Collection Boom Box

This is another new name on my list and one that I was undoubtedly impressed with. I want you to make up your own minds though, so without further ado here it is…

Old school design could be just what you’re looking for

The old school design is a real eye-catcher if you ask me. For those of you who are joined at the hip to modern minimalist looking tech then this may not be or you. If on the other hand, you want to inject some character into your setup then this could be the finishing touch that you’ve been looking for.

Does it do itself justice when it comes to sound quality?

The sound quality is just as good as any modern boombox…because this is a modern boombox! It’s just made to look old school because that’s a cool thing to have in your home right now. Make no mistake; when it comes to audio quality, this is up there with the best of them.

Built-in radio is easy to tune, but how robust is the tuning?

I loved how easy the radio was to tune which then immediately made me come up with another test. Once I’d tuned it all in, I deliberately knocked the radio. It fuzzed for a couple of seconds and then settled right down; awesome. Then I moved rooms with it. I have thick walls, so it required a slight tweak, but this took all of 5 seconds. Based on what I found I think it’s safe to say that it is a robust piece of kit that has a great tuner.

SD card slot is a nice little modern addition that breathes new life into the design

I like the addition of the SD slot. It’s small enough that it doesn’t ruin the old school look, but it adds a lot of extra functionality. Highly recommended by yours truly!

Best Boomboxes for 2021

16. Philips Portable Boombox AZ780-12

If you know Philips, you know they have been around for quite some time now. They are the definition of OG when it comes to sound systems. Here is what I thought of the Philips AZ 780 Radio boombox:

Accepts USB sticks

As old school as it looks, this boombox comes with a USB Direct functionality. Except for my online playlists, I pretty much use a USB flash disk to store my music whenever I can. All you have to do is connect the USB device to the boombox and your stored music will play directly on the device.

I can play my MP3, CD and even CD-RW discs

I know we have moved past this era but one thing I like about boomboxes is the sentimental value they bring when you remember how you used to play music on those old CDs that you compile your favorite music on. Philips has integrated an audio compression system that allows to compress huge music files down by ten times and still enjoy quality sound on it. Imagine being able to experience the convenience of digital music and also get to enjoy the Philips player at the same time.

The headphone jack is back

Nowadays it seems like everything has shifted to wireless connections. But the Philips AZ 780 Radio comes with a headphone jack that lets you connect your earphones or headphones and enjoy music when you’re all alone. Feels good doesn’t it? If that wasn’t enough, you’ll love the handy remote it comes with. I got to enjoy my music without having to stand up every time to skip on the next song. It’s really convenient.

17. Victrola 1980s Retro Bluetooth Boombox

Victrola has been around for a whopping 120 years. It was originally known as the Victor Talking Machine Company way back in the day when it started making audio equipment. I’ve seen a couple of them at my relative’s places but never really bothered back then. Now that I have a liking for collecting old school pieces, I loved how Victrola made this 1980s Retro Bluetooth Boombox to give it that retro vibe to it. Here’s what I think about it:

The retro look is everything to me

The most mind-blowing thing to me is the fact that this retro boombox is actually a Bluetooth player too. It’s like experiencing the best of both worlds. The classic 80’s vintage style meets modern technology.

The front panel is crammed with knobs and buttons for controlling the volume, cassette deck and other connecting options. I got to enjoy music from   flash drive, use the external SD card, and even had the option to connect a 3.5mm audio wire plugged into my phone.

Speakers are decent

This 17.9-inch long boombox is just a little bit difficult to carry. But this only means the large speakers will work better when you’re on party mode. The one minor drawback is that there are no EQ adjustments on this boombox, so you can’t modify the sound by just turning a knob.

18. QFX J-220BT Re-Run X Cassette Player Boombox

I know there are plenty of people looking for a vintage boombox. But if you can’t find any vintage inputs to use, don’t worry, the QFX ReRun Boombox comes quite in handy. Here’s what I think about it:

Reliable performance

This 3-inch speaker might fool you because of its minimalistic style. But the QFX ReRun X comes featuring two three inch speakers that give quite impressive sound quality. Another great addition is that it is easy to customize and improve the sound using the three-band equalizer.

Signal strength is the most important thing when it comes to a boombox. The radio includes a telescopic antenna that improves the signal and its range. It only means you’ll never go without decent reception when you’re tuned into your favorite radio station. It comes with four radio bands that include FM, AM, SW1 and SW2. Can you say no to having plenty of listening options?

A convenient gadget

The QFX J-220BT is a handy device that you can take with you everywhere you go. The convenient swivel handle and a weight of less than 4 pounds makes this boombox easy to transport. You will find all your input needs when it comes even to connecting to the device. Including Bluetooth connection, at least I can also enjoy plugging my USB sticks and even use the in-built microphone and cassette player if I wanted to.

19. Riptunes Boombox Radio Cassette Player

I have never heard of this name but I was really intrigued by the name. The first thing that came to my mind was how I am going to rip some tunes on this cassette player. Honestly, I didn’t make a wrong choice purchasing it even though it was just an impulse buy. Here’s what I think about the Riptunes Boombox Radio Cassette Player and what it has to offer:

Retro meets modern

I could definitely get some nostalgic memories coming out of just looking at this device. Even with the vintage style going on, this retro boombox has Bluetooth connectivity with in-built stereo speakers that has an awesome sound quality and a refreshing sound experience.

Really cool aesthetics

Not only does the retro Bluetooth boombox have a vintage aesthetic, but it also includes old-school features like FM, AM, SW1 and SW2 radio, alongside an integrated cassette player and a recorder that captures radio and converts it to audio formats straight into the Micro SD or USB stick. How about enjoying the real classic in elegant style? For me it’s the ideal partner for a relaxing weekend away.

Bluetooth all the way!

No matter the OS, the Riptunes Boombox Radio Cassette Player comes with a built-in Bluetooth feature that has seamless wireless pairing with various devices like Android and iPhone smartphones, iPads, iPods, laptops, tablets, and more. Why stop the fun with just one gadget when you can use any whenever and wherever? I think it’s pretty cool to know I can use any device at any time.
